Craft Shows - Back Again!
A long time ago, I used to do quite a few craft shows. I always liked making different things and I would generally make enough money from the sales of my Christmas decorations, cards and other paper crafted items to pay for my Christmas gifts for the year. I haven't participated in a craft show since before I was married, back in 2011!
I decided it was time to try it out again, and since I've been wanting to work my way towards doing in person workshops, I thought this would be a great way to get my name out there and promote my watercolor art and paints. I'm going to hope by the time November comes, I will be able to hold an in person watercolor class and this will be a great way to promote it!
I signed up for a craft show which is fairly popular in this area and one I had done back in 2011. The 40th Annual Santa's North Pole Village Craft Sale in Ankeny, Iowa.
November 6th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
I will be in Northview Middle School (the show is in 3 different schools with an available shuttle bus to drive you to each location). I will be in the East Gym booth #90. I just wanted to put that out there on the off chance someone ever reads this blog, lol.
What will I be selling?
Well, I do plan on selling my paints at the sale. I am just starting to offer some watercolor kits and I hope by the time November comes around I'll have lots of different offerings of the kits to sell at the show as well. I also plan on doing a make and take Christmas card / Thanksgiving card painting station, where attendees will be able to paint a card for a small fee using my supplies on hand and choose from a few different options.
I will also be selling my art prints, original watercolor artwork and stickers etc. I hope to have a display promoting my custom house portraits for Christmas gifts and plan on printing up some informational brochures for people to take with ordering instructions and pricing. I will focus on a lot of my Iowa State / Iowa themed items as I figure those will be the most popular.
