A perfect pear

I spent so much time last night messing around with cameras and tripods I only managed to paint this small pear painting. My computer apparently had a problem with SD cards and likes to shut down! so much wasted time when I have so little time each day to do something for myself.

I used Starthmore 500 precut sheets in size 5x7 - it absorbs water a bit differently than the paper I’ve been using lately so I ended up with a bloom on my red pear.

Paints are Daniel Smith watercolor in yellow ochre, sap green, pyrrol scarlet and burnt umber.

Brushes are Princeton Neptune round 2 & 6

Lettering with Faber Castell Pitt artist pen

Here is the time lapse of the painting!
